Additional Testing
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)
A person’s RMR accounts for approximately 50-65% of the total energy expenditure of an individual. The test takes about 20 minutes to complete and should be completed in a fasting state (+ 4 hours after eating).
Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
FMS allows for someone to know if they are at “risk” for an injury. You will complete seven (7) tests and three (3) clearing tests. The test will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
Wingate Testing (Anaerobic Power)
The Wingate test, also known as the Wingate Anaerobic Test (WANT) is perhaps the most popular assessment for peak anaerobic power, anaerobic fatigue, and total anaerobic capacity. This test is completed in 30-seconds and allows for the determination of peak power, anaerobic capacity, and anaerobic fatigue to be determined.
Fitness Testing (individual and Corporate employees)
Fitness Testing is a special program within the Department of Kinesiology at CSUB. We provide the community and University faculty, staff, and students with various fitness and health assessments and programs.
Athletic Testing
Testing can be modified to test specific sporting activities as well as position dependent athletes. Prior to testing we can discuss overall goals of testing and customize the testing protocol to match the needs of the athlete and/or team.
